Groner Sets Three Masters Records at Valencia Marathon

Competing in the Valencia Marathon in Spain on Sunday (1-Dec), Roberta Groner (Central Park TC) broke three U.S. Masters (45-49) records*.

Groner, 46, ran 2:29:32 to place 24th. The time broke the existing record of 2:30:51 set in 2010 by Colleen De Reuck.

En route Groner also broke the U.S. (W45-49) 25 km and 30 km records; stopping the clock at 1:29:15 and 1:46:49, respectively. The previous 25 km record of 1:31:05 was set in 2011 by De Reuck. The previous 30 km record of 1:52:44 was set in 2008 by Linda Somers.
