West Point Plebe Emily Fink wins U20 title in Oregon

(24-Jun) The USATF U20 Outdoor Championships were held June 23-25 in Eugene, Oregon. Athletes who do not turn 20 before the end of the year are eligible to compete in the championships with the top two in each event earning qualifying spots to Team USA for the World Athletics U20 Championships (August 1-6, 2022; Cali, Colombia).

Four members of USATF New York competed in the championships.

On Day 2 (Friday), West Point Plebe Emily Fink won the women's Hammer Throw with a toss of 59.94m (196-8).  The mark surpassed the World Championship entry standard; thus Fink has qualified to represent Team USA at the World U20 Championship in August in Columbia.
