Neal Johnson 1947-2022

It is with a heavy heart that we have learned of the passing of long-time USATF member Neal Johnson.

Neal was a USATF certified official for over 40 years and also served as the president of Special Olympics New York for 20 years.

He was inducted into the USATF-NY Officials Hall of Fame in 2020. His Hall of Fame induction bio can be viewed here. 

Viewing services will be held on Monday (January 9) and Tuesday (January 10) from 4-8pm each night at Goble Funeral Home (22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ 07871).

The funeral service will be on Wednesday (January 11) at 11am at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church (294 S Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07871).
