Central Park TC Relay Sets World Record at USATF Masters T&F Championships in North Carolina

Results 

The 2023 USATF Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships culminated yesterday in Greensboro, North Carolina.  34 members of USATF New York competed in 73 events during the four-day competition that started on Thursday. 

New York member athletes won 18 national titles and earned 38 visits to the awards podium for finishing in the top three in their event.

The Central Park TC - Tracksmith women's 55-59 4x800m relay set a new world record running 10:36:35 to break the old record held by the Greater Philadelphia Track Club by .72 seconds. The team members were Judy Stobbe, Susan Pearsall, Dominique Saint-Louis, and Jennifer Harvey.

Winning national titles were:
  • Dominique Eason (W35-39 Weight Throw)
  • Lisa Edwards (W45-49 400m Hurdles)
  • Jennifer Harvey (W55-59 800m, 1500m)
  • Nathalie Jones (W45-49 400m)
  • Santa Medina (W40-44 400m, 400m Hurdles)
  • Jennifer St. Jean (W45-49 1500m)
  • Michael Scarpa Jr. (M40-44 Shot Put, Hammer Throw, Weight Throw)
  • Israel SotoDuprey (M50-54 5000m Race Walk, 10 km Race Walk)
  • Anine Stanley (W35-39 5000m Race Walk, 10 km Race Walk)
  • Paige Yellen (W45-49 10000m)
  • Central Park TC-Tracksmith (W55 4x800m)
  • Central Park TC-Tracksmith (W40 4x100m)

Athletes scoring over 90% on the age grading tables (indicating their performances were classified as world-class) were:
  • Jennifer Harvey (W55-59 1500m - 5:04.97) - 90.63%
  • Jennifer Harvey (W55-59 800m - 2:29.20) - 90.62%
  • Nathalie Jones (W45-49 400m - 1:00.00) - 90.52%
