Brown wins in meet record to join Benedetto on Team USA for Pan Am U20 Championships

(24-Jun) Over the weekend four New York athletes competed in the
USA U20 Championships
in Miramar, Florida.
Tai Brown
(Brooklyn / Kentucky) and
Joseph Benedetto
(Middletown, NY / Ole Miss) won national titles and spots on Team USA for next month's Pan Am U20 Championships in Costa Rica.
Brown, a product of Ruff Kutz, won the 110m Hurdles running a career best time of 13.21. His previous career best was 13.57 The time also tied the meet record held by Misana Viltz from 2015. Benedetto won the Hammer Throw with a career best mark of 66.99m (219-09) breaking his former best by over 24 feet.

Anthony Harrison
(Pomona, NY) in the Discus and
Kaeli Thompson
(Warwick, NY. / Hudson Valley Flying Circus) in the pole vault. Harrison and Thompson were 2018 USATF-NY Youth Athletes of the Year.
