USATF New York Twilight Series Set For May

The USATF New York Twilight Series - The Road to Moscow - is back for the second year.
Three meets will be held during the month of May that will feature opportunities for athletes to qualify for the USA Championships (Des Moines, Iowa) as well as tune-up for events such as the USATF East Region Open T&F Championships (June 15; New York, N.Y.), USATF National Club Track & Field Championships (New York, N.Y.) and USA Masters Track & Field Championships (July 11-14; Olathe, Kan.).
All of the meets will be held on Thursdays - May 2, May 16, and May 30 at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.   Call it May Madness on the Blue Speedway.
Last year the series produced dozens of qualifying times for the Olympic Trials, including performances by Julie Culley and Lalonde Gordon, both who went on to compete in the Olympic Games in London.
"The series is designed to provide our post-collegiate athletes with the opportunity to compete at a first class venue with minimal travel and expense,” offers  USATF New York Open Athlete Chair, John Honekamp.
Meet information can be found on the USATF New York website.
