High Performance meets set for May & June in New York

USATF New York has announced it will provide four high performance meet opportunities this spring as local and regional athletes prepare for the USATF and IAAF World championships later this summer.

In May, two USATF New York "Road to London" Twilight Series meets will be held at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York.  The meets will be on May 18 and May 30.

In June the championship season will get started.  First with the USATF National Club Track & Field Championships (also serving as the USATF East Region Open Championships) will be held June 9-10.  The following week (June 17), the USATF New York Open Track & Field Championships will be held.  This meet will provide a last chance opportunity for qualifying for the USATF Outdoor Championships.
"We are excited to he holding these meets again for the fifth year," offered USATF New York's Adrian Crichlow.  "The meets are high performance opportunities for our elite and emerging elite athletes and also provide competitive opportunities for athletes of all abilities. "We look forward to competitions that will provide athletes with the opportunity to set USATF and world championship qualifying marks as the Road to London winds through New York."
