At the USATF Masters Indoor Championships held March 4-6 in Albuquerque, N.M. Chaston crossed the line in first place in the M45 3000m and second in the 1500m.  Since Chaston is a citizen of the United Kingdom  he was competing as a guest competitor in the USA championship event.   Despite the thin air (Albuquerque's elevation is at 5000') Chaston ran very respectable times of 9:42.64 in the 3000m and 4:28:47 in the 1500m.  His 3000m time scored 84.97% on the age grading tables and his 1500m score was 86.25% (scores between 80-90% are considered to be national class with scores over 90% considered world class).
