CPTC New Balance has 9 athletes competing in various championships around the globe

This championship weekend starts with two-time Olympian Winston George will compete in the 400 meters at South Ameri- can Championships. George has already qualified for World Championships in the 400m and is currently one of the top 400m runners in all South America. George competed at the Rio and London Olympics for Guyana.
At USA Nationals, All-American Asha Ruth races the 400 meters at the USA Nationals in Sacramento. Earlier this year, Ruth was a finalist at USA Indoor Nationals in the 300 meters. Joining Ruth at USA Nationals is teammate Meg Manley in the women’s 800 meters. Manley qualified for USA Indoor Nationals in both the 600 meters and the 1000 meters earlier in 2017.
At the Trinidad Nationals, Zakiya Denoon, Andre Marcano, Ashley Kelly and Nadia Eke will compete. Denoon is the NJCAA National Champion in the 100m and 200m and will compete in those events in Trinidad.  Marcano will compete in the 100 meters where he was a finalist in 2014.
Ashley Kelly, an Olympian for the British Virgin Islands, is an invited guest at Trinidad Nationals and will compete in the 200 and 400 meters and on the BVI relay. Nadia Eke is also an invited guest in the women’s triple jump. Eke is the African Champion in the Triple Jump and also IAAF World Indoor Tour Runner-up in that event.
At Barbados Nationals, Tristan Evelyn will compete in the 100 meters and 200 meters. Evelyn is the NJCAA National Runner- up in the 100 meters.
Finally on Sunday, Kateema Riettie will compete in the javelin at Jamaica Nationals. Riettie is the defending Jamaica Olympic Trials Champion in the javelin and will seek her 8th national title in that event.
