Simplified coaching for the High Hurdles, Technique and Accuracy in the Jump Approach, and Training Design for Jumpers and Sprinters

There is no fee to attend the clinic but registration (and attendance confirmation) is required

please read the following carefully to secure your spot at the clinic:
  • you must be a current USATF member to register and attend the clinic

  • seating is limited to 50 attendees
  • registration is on a first-come-first serve basis
  • a waiting list will be created after the first 50 registrations
  • on or about July 6 all registrants will receive an email requesting a RSVP response. Failure to respond to that RSVP request by July 13 (at 11:59pm) will result in the registration being cancelled and that spot being offered to the next person on the waiting list.

Irving “Boo” Schexnayder is regarded internationally as one of the world’s premier coaches. He possesses 36 years of experience in the coaching and consulting fields and was the mastermind behind 19 NCAA Champions during his collegiate coaching career, most noted for his 12 years as a member of the LSU coaching staff. He was a part of 12 NCAA Championship teams, as well as developing a host of conference champions and All-Americans.
Schexnayder has also been a prominent figure on the international scene, having coached multiple World Champions and Olympic Medalists. He has coached 10 Olympians, and has served on coaching staffs for Team USA to the 2003 Pan Am Games in Santo Domingo, the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing, and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
An educator by profession and a mentor of hundreds of coaches, he has been very active in curriculum development for Coaching Education programs, and has lectured nationally and internationally on speed/power training programs, biomechanics, track and field specific training, and rehabilitation. He has authored several publications covering these topics.
Schexnayder currently operates Schexnayder Athletic Consulting, his sports consultancy firm. He is also Director of the Track and Field Academy, the educational branch of the US Track and Field and Cross Country Association. He also instructs biomechanics, training design, and event specific courses in the Academy and chairs it's Advisory Board.
